Well, we're practically there... Tomorrow is the big day and I'm feeling good about it. I mean the Red Sox won the WORLD SERIES!!! The team from, ahem, Massachusetts. There was a time when people said that could never happen. It's good karma.

So, dogs -- get your people to the polls. Don't forget to bring a bowl of water and some biscuits because there might be long lines. That's okay, you guys don't mind waiting in line in order to see Gatsby in the White House, do you? (John has promised me a job in the West Wing for all of my hard work.)

This is my latest strategy against the BushCheney04 campaign.

It all started when George Bush said to John Kerry, "You can run but you can't hide" (-Joe Louis) to which John Kerry replied, "Is that all you've got George?" (-Muhammad Ali).

So, I found a way to transform myself into a tiny bumblebee (don't ask...) and I have spent the last couple of days following George W. Bush around; hovering, buzzing and stinging him.

It's true, I admit it, I'm a flip-flopper. During the Democratic Primaries, I supported Wesley Clark. I 'Barked for Clark'. He's a terrific guy. I hope he'll be in the Kerry Cabinet, wouldn't that be great?

And here I am today supporting John Kerry. Flip Flop! I'm just happy to be supporting a qualified candidate for President of the United States. We are fortunate as Democrats to have so many to choose among. I'm a lucky dog. You might say I'm the right dog, born in the right place, at the right time.

I guess it's no great surprise that if you have cheese for brains, the people are going to eventually figure it out. I'm not making this stuff up, folks:

In today's Washington Post Howard Kurtz reports, "The Orlando Sentinel has backed every Republican seeking the White House since Richard M. Nixon in 1968. Not this time." "The Sentinel is among 36 newspapers that endorsed President Bush four years ago and have flip-flopped, to coin a phrase, into Kerry's corner."

Cheese for Brains

Here's a riddle for you: two of us in the photo are wearing cheese on our heads, but only one person in the photo has cheese for brains. My Mom says that's a really rude thing to say and that I'll probably get some angry emails, and I bet I will -- but there are only 6 days to go before the election and I'm getting angry at some of the things Mr. Bush is saying about my guy, so there!!

Today has been hectic -- flying all over the country -- I think we're doing four states today. But I managed to meet up with John Edwards and his kids in Ohio. We had a great ole time. Emma Claire and Jack are loads of fun, we always have a good time when we get together.

What do you guys think of this new ad? We're trying it out with some focus groups this week. The "Wolves Ad" was pretty silly -- didn't you think -- who's afraid of some cute little wolves? Some of my best friends are wolves. What IS scary, however, is a wolf in sheep's clothing (or a little dog in a lion suit...) In other words: the LIES George W. Bush and his lot continue to spin. The day really wasn't about me, I'm just there for John, you know? It got a little embarrassing. I mean, I may run in 2012, but I won't even hear of it before then.

I haven't decided what I'm going to be for Halloween yet, but my old costumes are coming in handy for going to Bush rallies incognito. They're great cover. Too many people recognize me from campaign appearances with John so it's getting tricky for me to remain anonymous. Now I can travel in disguise. The other day I went as "batdog" to a Bush rally in Iowa. The President kept going on and on about how Senator Kerry was going to raise my taxes. I don't even pay taxes. A lot he knows. Anyway, like I'm going to be making more than $200,000. Fat chance.

Hey, what's the deal with kissing babies? They can't even vote. That's just weird.

Do you guys remember Rex, Nancy Reagan's dog? He was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel too, the first one to live at the White House. I was just thinking about him because I expect that he would be a big supporter of stem cell research. He was a pretty smart dog. Yep, those Reagans knew a thing or two.

Million Dog March

I'm working on a plan for a "Million Dog March" on Washington. George W. thinks that he's got the dog vote (okay, the "dog people" vote) but he's wrong about that. Dogs are not safer today than they were four years ago and they know it. So do their owners. I bet even Barney knows it. I'm going to talk to Cym (that's John Kerry's dog -- in case you don't know -- he's a very handsome German Shephard,) and see what he thinks. He's been keeping a low profile in the campaign so far, but this might be something he'd like to get involved with. I'll keep you guys posted.

On the Stump

Do you know that John Kerry is 6'4'' tall??!! Yowzah!! I'm a very respectable 10" tall, which is a good size for a Cavalier, but I do like to sit on his lap whenever possible when we're out on the stump. Here we are in a town hall meeting doing a Q & A. I love these -- meeting people all over this country -- and John is great, of course, because he's so knowledgeable. Plus he's just a friendly guy. I wouldn't mind getting a flu shot, though -- there's a lot of handshaking.

DOG BITE K9/11

Here's the poster for my new film, "Dog Bite K9/11". It's a documentary about a small dog in cowboy gear who visits the White House looking for some straight answers to some tough questions. I take on George W. Bush and his whole lot. There's some pretty exciting footage, let me tell you. You wouldn't think that Karl Rove would kick a dog, would you? So far I've been having trouble getting a distributor, but I'm hoping to get this into theaters soon.

Here's another summer photo, vacationing on Cape Cod. If you look very closely you can just make out my good friend John Kerry wind surfing in the distance. He's the coolest. He's going to teach me how to wind surf next summer.

When I was in Massachusetts, people there were talking about how President Bush kept saying stuff like "...That's what you can expect from a Senator from Massachusetts." They were saying how they felt like he was insulting their state. You know, I think they're right. Isn't he supposed to be the President of the United States, not just the states that he likes, like Texas? How can he get away with disparaging a state like that?

Obviously I'm a huge John Kerry fan, but I was just thinking that even though I know a whole bunch of Cavaliers who support Kerry, the dogs who should really be big John Kerry fans are the Kerry Blue Terriers. I mean, c'mon! It's a no brainer. Wouldn't they look silly at a Bush rally? They'd be put in a head lock faster than you can say, "It's hard work".
